Privacy
This website collects the details you submit so Talkify can answer your enquiry, plus limited technical information needed to protect the form.
Written to be read. If anything below is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than point you at a clause.
What we collect
What you type into the form
Your name, your phone number and your email address, because we cannot answer you without them. Your business name, and roughly how many calls a week you take, if you fill those in. Whatever you write in the message box.
That is the lot. There is no account to create and no password to choose.
The page you sent it from
Which page of this site you were on when you sent the form, and the campaign details carried in the link if you arrived from an advert. That tells us which pages are worth writing, and nothing about you.
What we do not collect
An essential session cookie protects the contact form. It is not an advertising cookie. Short-lived request counts help limit automated submissions. Campaign tags may be remembered for the browser session and included when you enquire. Google reCAPTCHA protects the enquiry form. It loads when you submit and processes technical browser and network information to assess automated abuse. The form carries a reCAPTCHA notice saying so. Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that check.
We never ask for card details, bank details or any government identity number on this website. Be suspicious of any page claiming to be us that does.
What we do with it
We contact you about your enquiry
That is the whole purpose. We ring or email you about the thing you asked about, and if you go ahead we use the same details to run your service.
Filling in the form does not add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to send you something that is not about your enquiry, we will ask you first.
We do not sell your details
Not to anyone, at any price, ever. Your details are not passed to anyone outside the business that operates The AI Receptionist, apart from the suppliers who host this site and carry our email. They handle it on our instructions only and cannot use it for anything of their own.
The form is protected against automated abuse
It carries a hidden field that a person never sees and never fills in. Automated scripts do, and anything that trips it is thrown away. That is why we are reading your enquiry instead of a thousand junk ones, and it asks nothing of you.
How long we keep it, and how to get it back
Two years, if nothing comes of it
An enquiry that does not turn into anything is deleted two years after you sent it.
If you go ahead and become a customer, we keep your records while you are with us and then for seven years, because tax and company law require business records to be held that long.
You can see it, correct it, or have it deleted
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to fix anything that is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Email logins@d3v.nz and say which one you want.
We will come back to you within 20 working days, which is the limit the Act sets, and usually a good deal sooner. The only thing we may not be able to delete is a record we are legally required to keep, and if that applies we will tell you exactly what it is and why.
Where it is held
In New Zealand. Enquiries from this form are held here, and calls to a live service are answered on +64 numbers in New Zealand data centres. Australian businesses are answered on +61 numbers in Australia.
If you are not happy with our answer
Tell us first and give us a chance to put it right. If you are still not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, which is free and independent of us.
Ask us anything about this
Privacy questions go to logins@d3v.nz, and a person answers them.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on this website to understand page visits and confirmed enquiry counts. It is on by default. These sites serve New Zealand and Australia, where analytics of this kind does not require your prior permission, so we do not interrupt you with a banner to ask. You can switch it off at any time. Local previews send no analytics at all.
“Analytics choices” in the footer turns analytics off, and your choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. Turning it off does not affect the contact form or any planning tool, and it stops this integration sending anything further. Essential form-security cookies work separately.
While analytics is on, Google receives limited technical information about the visit. This implementation sends the page path and title, referring website origin and whether an enquiry was confirmed. It does not deliberately send form answers, names, email addresses, telephone numbers or URL query/fragment text. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled.
Google Analytics uses cookies and processes technical information, which may involve systems outside New Zealand or Australia. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Switching analytics off stops future analytics from this integration; it does not erase information already processed.
